1878 Sep 20 Born Limerick. In RIC Register, but 23 Nov 1878 on Baptismal cert, and I can only get 29 Sep in GRO. Nothing about his date of birth is fixable

 

 

1895 Mar 16 Attests to Royal Irish Rifles. Born St Johns Limerick circe 1877. Mother is Mary Whyte of Bokerglass, Co Limerick

1895 Apr 25 Discharged because of a mistatment of age

1896 Jan 20 Enlists again in Royal Irish Regt Militia

1897 Apr 8 Enlists in Connaught Rangers

He appears as both Whyte and White with same service no. His Red Cross dob is given as 14 Aug 1880

1918 Feb 6 Transferred from Germany to Holland among a large group for internment in Holland

 

1920 Oct 23 Married London woman. I cannot find this marriage

 

1921 Jan 11. Joined RIC with RIC no 77576 & ADRIC no 170 (811 ). Ex-soldier

1939 Register. He is a Barrack Labourer at 24 Fern Bank Crescent, Folkestone, Listed as married, but no wife there. Born 20 Sep 1878 and "Michael J White|"
