1881 Jul 5 Born London (perhaps 1882 in Barnett)

 

1897 Aug 26 Enlisted in 17th Lancers. NOK is his father William Charles Stratton, Valatine Rd, South Hackney

1905 Jan 30. Married in London to Annie Josephine Walsh

1908 Oct 27 Transfers to Army Reserve

1908 Nov 19. His wife is in Hackney Workhouse Infirmery

1908 Nov 25 His wife is sent to Claybury Intitution , Essex. Claybury Hospital was a psychiatric hospital in Woodford Bridge, London. It was built to a design by the English architect George Thomas Hine who was a prolific Victorian architect of hospital buildings. It was opened in 1893 making it the Fifth Middlesex County Asylum. Historic England identified the hospital as being "the most important asylum built in England after 1875".
