1916 Sep 13. Enlists # in Royal Defence Corps. His address is his mother Mary at Trafalgar Rd, Horsham, Sussex. He came from Tottenham, Ontario, Canada to enlist, he claimed. I can find no proof of that, he was very vague about when he did arrive, and it seems odd that he returned to UK rather than enlisting in Canada at an earlier date
1919 May 8 Demobbed. The army seems to have been able to contact him to return to Canada
