An odd murder just before the disbandment of the RIC. It is impossible to know if this was personally disrected at McEdwards (the other Constable Goody was not shot) or whether it was one of a number of attacks against the RIC in Limerick. His widow applied for £3000 compensation, and she did get an RIC pension
