This is a poser.

We can find his birth reg as Anthony William Q2 1882 and we can find his marriage in 1904 as Anthony William, giving his father as David.

There is also a baptism of Anthony William on 5 Mar 1893 aged 12, son of David & Anne of Upper Weeg, baptised with Ada Eliza Jane Jandrell aged 19.

There are problems with this:

• there is no suitable marriage for a David to an Anne for him to be the son of
• Ada Eliza Jane is Alaliza Jane Jondrell and she is definitely the daughter of Arthur Jandrel & Anne nee George - whom she is with in 1881 & in 1891 [as Jane] - and Arthur is very definitely alive in 1893 and was living at Upper Weeg in 1891.

So her baptism data are definitely wrong. And I have good reason to doubt Anthony William's baptism data also.

The possibilities are:

1. He is the son of a David & someone other than Anne - which fits his marriage information - but in that case why is Ada Eliza associated, and why is Upper Weeg used?
2. He is the son of Arthur & Anne, like Adaliza Jane - which fits if the errors in his baptism are the same as those of Ada Eliza - but as he is with them in 1891 why is he not shown as their son, instead being grouped with David & Agness, who are definitely the children of David & Sarah
3. He is the son of David & Sarah - which fits his marriage information - but then why is he not shown as such, as there are two baptisms of other children of David & Sarah on the same date?
   

Option 1 implies that there are three different sets of Jandrell offspring being baptised that day -

Option 2 assumes errors in two different records - which is improbable but less likely.

Option 3 relies - as do the others - on the registrar having made a complete mess of his day's transcriptions - but I think it is the most likely.

I can't square this circle, though.
