1907 Oct 20. Enlisted in York & Lancaster Regt. He claims previous service in Cameron Highlanders #4269, His enlistment oddly had a statement from his wife saying she consented to him joinng the arny and had no further call on him

1912 Mar 18 Discharged for misconduct. Desertiion and fraudulent enlistment

1914 Sep 22 enlisted in Canadian Exp Force. Claimed 8 years in Cameron Highlanders. He was a chef . He appears to be estranged from his wife as NOK is Miss Beatrice Orchard

1915 Apt 25 Left Canada for Europe

1916 Oct 10 Pensioned from Canadian EF. He had suffered a double hernia from lifting a bag of oats. And was later crushed by a horse
