RAF Record has nothing on it "transferred to reserves" and "c/o Barclays Bank, Ilkley"

1916 Apr 22. Commissioned 2nd Lt in RFC as "William Fairbank Williamson". He got a post war pension for "nervous instability"

1917 Aug 1 promoted Lt

1920 Dec 29 Joined ADRIC with service no 1336. Posted to Longford and M Coy

1921 Jan 17 Wounded at Longford Infirmary. He later received compensation for a wounding at the Longford Barracks of £150.

1921 Feb 3. Was involved in Clonfin Ambush. He said that the cover was "very poor"

District Inspector Craven met his death on Wednesday night last week, in a Sinn Féin ambush at Longford, Ireland, there being only two survivors of his party [that is wrong, there were more]. The body was removed from Dublin to Dalton in charge of two cadet officers, Lieut. J. S. W. Smith and Lieut. W. F. P. Williamson, the two survivors of the ambush.
