The 1922 census ties in with ADRC record of him being in Dentistry (this 1911 census gives born 1886). The 1911 census gives birth 1883. This birth seems to be registered as Alfred Henry in Wolverhampton in Oct/Dec 1883 And 1890 Sep 27 Born (From RAF Record).

Dear Mr Grant,
First, thank you for all the information about my Great Uncle, Alfred (then Albert) Henry Waugh, it has been a revelation!
I thought you might like confirmation on certain dates derived from GRO certificates plus others:
Born: 23 September 1883, 64 Dudley Road, Wolverhampton. Alfred Henry. Informant was his illiterate maternal grandfather, a miner.
Baptism: 31 August 1884, St John’s, Wolverhampton. ALBERT Henry.
Death: 5 November 1948, Albert Henry Waugh, 3 Sussex Gardens, Paddington. Retired Hotel Proprietor. Informant step-daughter of 139 Sussex Gdns.
1911 Census Dental operator (Dentistry) in Cwncarn, Mons, Wales
1914 Towyn (now spelt Tywyn), Gwynd, Wales. Freemason Membership of Corbett Lodge. Dentist.
This ties in with family legend and also practicing in Machynlleth with his youngest brother John Alexander Waugh (my paternal grandfather), dentist.
Marriage: June 20 1923. Holy Trinity Church, Paddington. Albert Henry (bachelor), canteen manager, to Elizabeth Jane Burgess (widow) both of Cambria Hotel, Chilworth Street (your advert gives 6, Chilworth Street, London W2). My paternal grandfather JA Waugh was a witness.
It would seem that both Albert and Elizabeth were joint proprietors of the Cambrian Hotel.
This again ties in with family legend as my late father JC Waugh spoke of staying at “his uncle’s hotel in London”.
Another family legend has Albert Henry in the Spanish Civil War and the Russo-Finnish War. I suspect both are tall stories!
But why, in 1939, he was living at a totally different address is unknown as is his address upon his death.
