1918 Apr 23. MC Citation "T./Lt. Charles Edward Boulderson Rogers, Berks. R. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He led a party of thirty men to attack an enemy post which he had previously located. The enemy in considerable strength unexpectedly opened a heavy fire with rifle grenades and trench mortars from a strong advanced position. Having silenced the trench mortars with rifle grenades and broken up an enveloping movement by rapid fire, he resolutely led his party forward and forced the enemy to retire. He showed great dash and presence of mind under heavy fire, and exercised a fine control over his men.
