There are 2 John Fitzhugh's but one is killed in WW1, and this is the man we want below. Born in Suffolk, moves to Northampton

1905 Jul 9, Enlists in Northamptonshire Regt Militia. Born Suffolk, working in Northampton in the shoe trade. Fathr George, Mother Emma. Aged 15 years and 4 months
1906 Nov 5 Moved to regular Army
1911 census I cannot find him. He is in the Army
1912 Dec 25. Marries Alice Mason in Northampton

1914 Aug 13. Landed in France
1917 Jan 21. Presumed commissioned 2nd Lt from promotion to Lt
1918 Jul 21 . 2nd Lt to be Lt in Northampton Regt J Fitzhugh
1920 Sep . An illegitimate child Peggy was born to Katherine O'Boyle in Rotherham
1920 Sep 14. Joined ADRIC with service no. 555. Posted to E Coy

1921 Jun 25. Struck off strength as a Deserter
1921 Nov 24. He marries Katherine O'Boyle in Fulham. This is a bigamous marriage. One can see from the 1931 maintenance case. I think Katherine O'Boyle was born 1900 in Sligo and he was based there with E Coy. And presumably why he deserted ADRIC.
1922 Nov 14. Enlists in RA. His age, place of birth, trade of his father, are correct. As his previous service, though he does not declare his commission.

1929 Nov 13. Discharged from Army
1931 Jul 3. His wife gets a maintenance order. Note the 1921 telegram was sent from Rotherham, where the illegitimate Peggy was born

1939 Living in 60 Thornton Avenue , Brentford and Chiswick M.B., Middlesex, England . He is a single, Garage Workshop Manager
