1893 Jan 16. Enlisted for 7 +5 years with 6th Dragoons. Which he later extended.

1899 Jan 16 Promoted Cpl. He is in hospital a couple of times with Syphilis and Gonorrhoea

1899 Oct 28 Posted to South Africa. South Africa Medal with 6 clasps
