1921 Feb 2 Died after being shot near Granard, Co Longford by a ADRIC patrol under Platoon Commander W Elmslie, and inclued T/C C Ridgeway who actually fired the fatal shot. The GoC was not happy with their decision to open fire. Ridgeway resigned 7 days after the Inquiry
